Creation Cue (“we,” “our,” or “us”) built the CreationCue Watch Faces Android app as a free companion tool to help you discover, browse, and install our Wear OS watch faces. This policy explains clearly what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.
〢 What This App Does
The CreationCue Watch Faces app lets you:
- Browse our full catalog of Wear OS watch faces
- Send watch faces directly to your watch via the Play Store
- Save your favorite designs
- Receive notifications about new releases and promotions
- Contact us for support
〢 Data We Collect and Why
We only collect what we genuinely need to make the app work well for you. Here is a breakdown:
Device Information (via Firebase Analytics) We collect basic technical details such as your device model (e.g., Samsung Galaxy S24), Android version, and general app usage patterns (e.g., which screens you visit, which watch faces you tap on).
- Why: So we can understand how the app is being used and improve it — for example, fixing screens that are confusing or prioritizing features people use the most.
- What we do NOT collect: Your name, email address, phone number, or any information that directly identifies you.
Push Notification Token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) When you allow notifications, Firebase assigns your device a unique token.
- Why: So we can send you relevant updates like new watch face launches, limited-time discounts, or important app news. We do not use this to advertise third-party products.
- You can turn off notifications at any time in your phone’s Settings → Apps → CreationCue Watch Faces → Notifications.
Support Messages When you tap the Support button and choose to send an email, the app pre-fills a message that includes your device model and Android version.
- Why: So we can help you faster without asking follow-up questions.
- You are always in control: You will see exactly what is in the email before you send it. Nothing is sent automatically or in the background.
Watch Face Catalog (from GitHub) The app loads our watch face catalog from a JSON file hosted on GitHub.
- Why: So the catalog stays up to date without requiring an app update.
- No personal information is sent during this request — it is a simple, anonymous data fetch.
Favorites (Stored Locally) When you “heart” a watch face, that preference is saved on your device only.
- Why: So your favorites are remembered between sessions.
- This data never leaves your phone and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
〢 Data We Do NOT Collect
To be crystal clear, we never collect:
- Health or fitness data
- Location data
- Payment information
- Login credentials
- Any information from your watch (the app only opens the Play Store on your watch’s behalf)
〢 Third-Party Services
The app uses two Google services that have their own privacy policies:
- Firebase Analytics — Google Privacy Policy
- Firebase Cloud Messaging — Google Privacy Policy
We do not sell your data to any third party, ever.
〢 Data Retention
- Firebase Analytics data is retained for a maximum of 14 months, which is the default Google Analytics setting.
- Firebase notification tokens are active as long as you have the app installed.
- Your favorites and local app settings are deleted when you uninstall the app.
〢 Your Controls
You are always in charge:
- Turn off notifications — Settings → Apps → CreationCue Watch Faces → Notifications
- Opt out of Analytics — You can reset your advertising ID in Settings → Google → Ads on your device.
- Delete your data — Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data (favorites, settings). Firebase Analytics data can be deleted by contacting us.
〢 Children’s Privacy
This app is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
〢 Changes to This Policy
If we make significant changes to this policy, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you through the app.
